troislignes is an ‘art de la table’ company that seeks to combine a unique design with a specific craftsmanship. Its focus is on producing unique pieces in a limited series entirely by hand promoting a craft. Each collection uses a material and the craft from its place of origin. Designed in Switzerland, the brand looks to endorse the collaboration with these traditional crafts to promote them through its designs. We want to fashion singular dining experiences through the objects we create.
For its first collection made in jingdezhen, trois lignes created a porcelain collection using the porcelain of Jingdehzen. The historical town has unique porcelain and craftsmen including an immense heritage of materials and techniques. The next collection made in Limoges will be made using porcelain from Limoges.
troislignes uses computer-controlled machinery to produce molds for its pieces. This technique allows us to create specific designs to encourage new culinary experiences. Each piece then becomes unique by its finishing where a hand glazing is applied individually and randomly. The outcome is a unique series of pieces all hand glazed and casted.
The name “trois lignes” is a metaphor derived from the culinary jargon for starter(1), main(2) and desert(3) represented by its monogram + + signifying starter + main + desert. It encompasses all the different aspects of the culinary world which provides creative opportunities for the brand to develop new collections and products.
